“Individually, we are one drop. Together, we are an ocean.”

-Ryunosuke Satoro

The Power of Together is a proven way to make a tremendous impact in a short amount of time with a modest donation. The Power of Together asks for a commitment of one hour and one hundred dollars per quarter. Together we have the power to donate ten thousand dollars to a charity of our choice four times each year, helping charities in Northeastern Connecticut. One hundred percent of the money will stay in our community. Again, one hour of your time and one hundred dollars four times each year will result in a monetary gift with meaningful impact. Here’s how The Power of Together works:
Each member selects a charity and prepares a 5 minute presentation explaining how it would benefit from the donation. Each member brings to the meeting the name of the charity and a check for $100 (if you cannot attend the meeting, simply send the check with another member). Three charities will be randomly chosen, and club members will listen to the 5 minute presentation, followed by a 5 minute Q&A. We vote. The winning charity will receive $100 check from each club member. In less than one hour, you will have made a meaningful contribution toward positive change in our community. The Power of Together is a decisive, concrete action plan that allows generous, thoughtful, busy people to make a difference. No committees, no discussions and disagreements, no walks, races, dinners or ‘a-thons’: just four grateful charities benefiting from the power of our commitment each year. One hundred percent of the donation will go directly to the charity. The charities receive our checks in exchange for honoring our request for no further solicitation.
